METRONOME TAP SOFTWARE
Of course - if this is what you are doing, and the delay still drifts, then that could be a software bug which would suck. That way they share the same midi clock, and hopefully will remain in sync. So you need to set up one device as the master, and the other as the slave. You can also use the Apple Watch app to figure out tempos. Mix clicks with the associated volume sliders. Tap tempo and direct typing make it easy to find and set a tempo. Easily create complex patterns with tenths of a tempo entry. One will always be slightly faster than the other. A simple but capable metronome reminiscent of an older unit that is highly prized. I never trust two midi boxes to exactly match up in tempo if you set them with the same tempo values. What you seem to be suggesting is a gradual drift in Tempo over time. This obviously requires the box to have a reference Tempo. I don't know about that TC delay - i've got a TC Helicon Voice Live 2 that does delays, and generally most digital delays work by two methods:ġ - you can usually set the delay in milliseconds, and as the poster above has suggested, you can calculate the delay that you want for a particular tempo, orĢ - most units allow you to select a time in Notes. I don't think it matters, but here is my other gear I often use with it: But if I do a slower song at like 70-80ish bpm, it gets off bad. I have noticed it also really only gets off tempo with less than 90ish bpm. I don't need that happening, especially when I use the quarter plus dotted eighth. I really want it to work well, because it it gets off tempo it throws me. I use the tap tempo function, but I think I dial it in fairly accurately, but obviously not accurately enough. I mean if I am playing alone I can keep up with it fine, but whenever I practice upcoming sets to a metronome or drummer, the delay gets off tempo rather quickly. However, I have noticed that the delay gets off beat a lot. I have a tc electronic nova repeater delay.
